PrintThe Iyengar Association of the Northwest Region (IYANW) exists to disseminate and promote the art, science and philosophy of yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. IYANW has established a grants program to support this mission. We are proud of our Grants Program, which is funded by the generosity of IYANW members and friends. We offer two types of grants:

General Member Grants

Our intent with these grants is to encourage and support current and aspiring yoga practitioners and teachers throughout the Northwest Region to experience the art, science and philosophy of Yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar.

More information about the student grant program is on our General Membership Grant Application.

Community Service Grants

Our intent with these grants is to encourage and support Northwest Studios and Teachers to disseminate the teachings of Iyengar Yoga by providing classes or lectures within the region for underserved or underprivileged members of their local community.

More information about the community service grant is on our Community Service Grant Application.

Grants are awarded four times yearly. Deadlines for applying are: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Please note that your application for both grant programs must arrive 30 days before the date of the event you hope to attend to give the grants committee time to review your application. See the details in the table below:

We happily accept donations to the IYANW grant fund. Your contribution—in your name or in honor of a fellow yogi—will help other members deepen their practice. Make checks out to IYANW and mail to 685 A Street, Ashland, OR 97520.
